![]() Malak listened to her plea and offered her the wish she desired in exchange for her soul.Īlthough Bierce's soul was forfeit, she had no intentions of fulfilling her promise to Malak. After successfully uttering the incantation, Bierce called out to Malak, to which he replied back. Desperate for fame and recognition in the film industry, she began a summoning ritual, first by kidnapping a young girl and slitting her throat as a sacrifice. While initially disbelieved by his stories, Bierce was eventually convinced over the course of a few months. In the early twentieth century, a woman named Helen Bierce was told stories of Malak's exchanges by a man named Victor. A human sacrifice was also required, as well as an incantation. You can help the Dark Deception wiki by adding more information to it!įor an unknown quantity of time, Malak has made bargains with individuals who contacted him, offering them any gift they sought in exchange for their soul after an amount of time or death. Additionally, he claims to take great pleasure in watching him suffer. However, despite this, he seems to care little for the Doug's well being as he doesn't hesitate to hunt him down when he has stolen a ring piece. He also appears to advise Doug from helping and trusting Bierce, implying that she has different motives. He mainly wants to stop Doug for helping Bierce, which he knows could weaken his power by losing the souls he has trapped in the realms. Malak is a rather enigmatic figure, with a personal vendetta against Doug Houser, and has a negative relationship with Bierce. His hands also now have four fingers instead of three.Ī demon's power is contained inside it: the creature of infinite cruelty that you just met. He now possesses more dark and jagged skin, glowing orange eyes and mouth, and slim, cone-shaped horns. His lower body is also absent, ending at his overcoat. In his phantom form, Malak dons a large black cloak with torn edges and long sleeves. His head resembles that of a typical demon, with red skin, hollowed-out eyes, jagged teeth, pointed ears, and curved horns. His hands both have three sharp claws for fingers, with black skin. He is always seen dressed in formal attire, wearing a black business tuxedo with a red tie, slim black undershirt, long striped trousers, and polished shoes. If I had known these tips it would've gone much faster. In Bierce's Ballroom, Malak appears as a large, beady, bloodshot eye on a red doorway with golden patterns. She will run towards you and kill you, turn around immediately (middle mouse click) and run through the hallway with a boost and avoid the bus blocking part of the hall.Ĭongrats you did it! I can't tell you how many times I tried to beat this boss fight. After the cutscene you will still be looking at Agatha. After you avoid Agatha for a few rounds, the doors will open to the hallway and a cutscene of Agatha plays. (I haven't tried this, but you might die.) Do not trigger the dummy portals while walking. So if you are having issues on this step, try that instead. *Note: a reader pointed out to me that they had to keep the portals there in order to not die. By the time Bierce opens the door out to the hallway, you want to have all the portals gone to avoid this glitch. DUE TO A GLITCH YOU CAN DIE FROM THESE EXPLODING WHILE IN A CUTSCENE AND YOU WILL HAVE TO REDO THE BOSS FIGHT. While you are boosting away from her run through them and they will explode. Eventually she will start throwing dummy portals out. Eventually she will start teleporting again. Run around the parameter of the room while avoiding the nobs on the doors, they will slow you down. (you want the boost last as long as possible.) Unless she is right next to you of course. When she starts coming for you, start running away and wait a bit before using your boost. This gives you a good view of where she is at. Preferably a corner not next to the stage. Get into a corner and look into the room when she starts teleporting. This thought is what kept me from giving up. It feels like eternity, but it's really only a few minutes. She has about 5-6 teleport/run after you cycles. This boss battle only takes about 2 1/2- 3 minutes. She Teleports a few times (around 5-7) and then chases you. You will be trapped in a room with Agatha and all the doors are locked. ![]()
